Leo Choquette grew up in New Bedford, MA, and was the first in his family to attend college in over five generations. After earning degrees in Biological Sciences and Microbiology, he shifted his focus to law and finance. Leo became a lawyer in 2013 and joined New York Life's Boston General Office, where he thrived as a Financial Professional and Partner, earning recognition in the 2015 Million Dollar Roundtable (MDRT).
In 2018, Leo transitioned to an independent Investment Specialist role with Securian Advisors of New England, where he was named 2019 Rookie of the Year. In 2023, he was elected as the Ward 1 City Councilor for New Bedford, MA. Leo comes to NFN with a wealth of experience in financial planning, investment strategy, and client relationship management. He holds multiple FINRA registrations and is pursuing the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
Outside of work, Leo is a first-generation Freemason, a Knight Templar, and a Eucharistic Minister. He lives in New Bedford with his wife, Bethany.
